Dior Fall RTW 2009

John Galliano presented a selection of clothing that to me, was as refreshing as the oncoming Spring season. He cited Oriental culture as his main source of inspiration, and it was easily seen in the pieces themselves. Bubble skirts and dresses, heavy overcoats and sleek stream lined skirt suits were what made up the majority of the collection, but was generously sprinkled with sheer tops, gorgeous evening wear and interesting head pieces through out. Some of the dresses look liked oragami works of art themselves, and the color pallet of reds, purples, subdued greys, blacks and electric pink was equally appealing-and hinted at the idea of feminine romanticism. Just as always, Mr. Dior/Galliano failed to let me down.
