Viktor & Rolf Fall RTW 2009

An ingenious collection and theme, simply put. It was what a fashion show should look like- innovative clothing in ahead of the game cuts, intriguing and thematic settings, and makeup that makes the model go from human to super hero. The designer duo designed clothing that looked liked the sculptures that lined their set- dresses that resembled craigly rocks and white stone in light and dark contrasting hues, and models that appeared to be statues themselves forming into humans, all by the power of their clothing of course. There were many beautiful pieces in the show, and the detail was both provocative and extremely impressive. Amazing cuts, draping and pleating all made their way to the surface. And the cocktail and evening dressed toward the end of the show? Stunning.
